This is not a GPS chip.  It will not help you find the location of your pet.  It will help whoever finds your pet to find you.  In order to work, the serial number of the chip MUST be registered with HomeAgain.  This can be done with the enclosed registration form or it can be done online on the HomeAgain website.  Registering the chip with yours and your pet's information will allow whoever found your pet to contact you and reunite you with your companion.  If the chip is not registered, it will not work.  Registration is a 1 time fee of .99 per chip.  This will register your pet in the HomeAgain database for the lifetime of your pet.  There is an optional annual membership available that gives you access to additional features.  Please see the HomeAgain website for more details.
